Polar Technology is part of an industry (refrigerant recycle, recovery and reclamation) that is an “iconic” industry when it comes to matters of the environment. An industry that deals with the manufacturing, distribution and recycling of greenhouse gases, is going to be looked upon differently than other types of industry because its very composition is a potential hazard to the environment. ECOTECH
EcoTech is a program that is designed to be the ‘talking points’ and/or the message and philosophy behind the effort to help our wholesale distributors attract customers to recovery programs. However the program could be extended to either help identify the ideal customer or to help Polar integrate with a wholesale account trying to attract more customers or with environmental efforts that are efficiently applying budget money to attract more recovery. CARBON FOOTPRINT CREDITS
In honor of Earth Day, Polar Technology is absorbing the cost to offset the carbon footprint of the 2009 Nashville Earth Day Festival (NEDF) on April 18 at Centennial Park. [More info]
In honor of Music City and Belmont University’s hosting of a 2008 Presidential Debate, Polar Technology retired credits equaling this amount to mitigate the carbon footprint of every single person who traveled to Nashville for the debate.
